Using Videos in Email

Using video in email has always been a tricky thing – not just because of the technology but also because of the idea of whether or not it’s effective. There have been questions to consider along the road of whether or not to incorporate video into your email marketing plan; questions like will video be considered annoying? Is it worth the effort considering the technology and the problems it brings?

There are many schools of thought on the answers to these questions because all of the experts have their own opinion. So in the words of my father-in-law I say this to you: “Listen to what everyone has to say and then do what you think is best.”

As mobile technology continues to evolve, it becomes more important to keep up with the times. Consumers want to receive their content on their phones and they don’t just want to read. Video within an email is a great way to give your audience what they want and where they want it – right at their fingertips.

Adding video to email isn’t as difficult as it was in days gone by. There are plenty of coding techniques that can do the job, even if the mail client doesn’t support video.
